REAL TECHNIQUES Samantha and Nicola Chapman grew up surrounded by makeup. Their aunt was a top makeup artist in London, working with clients like David Bowie and Princess Diana. Their mum was makeup-involved too, always trying out the latest trends and being creative with her looks. As young girls, they experimented on one another, and of course Nic was the test subject, since Sam was the older sister. When it came time to choose their career path, it was clear that makeup artistry was the way to go. They were talented, creative, and keen to follow in the footsteps of their successful aunt. But, most importantly — they were passionate about beauty.

WOW I love these brushes, I love the whole range to be honest. I've used other high profile brushes before and paid a lot of money for them and the Real Techniques brushes are by far the best. They are also so handy as they are available in Boots stores in Ireland and the UK. I am a beauty therapist by trade and thought I knew my fair share about make up! I ordered these brushes because I had watched them been used on a makeup tutorial. I had been looking for a new foundation brush, as mine holds the foundation and gets really dirty really easily, so I have to wash it very regularly. The buffing brush however, is my new best friend. It's incredible; puts on foundation (liquid and powder) so well and is still super soft and smooth, even after I've used it. I haven't quite mastered how to use the other brushes yet, however the contour brush does contour very well. Totally advise you to geth this collection - such good value for money! I would buy all the brushes on this website, if I wasn't a student and could afford to do so!

AMAZING. I am a makeup artist and recently decided to put together a vegan kit. Initially I feared that this decision would compromise the quality of my kit, but was pleasantly surprised to find that these brushes out-perform their animal hair counterparts. Many clients have already raved about how comfortable the buffing brush feels. I find the foundation brush too small for foundation, but adore it for concealing and color corrections. I would recommend these brushes to vegans and non-vegans, pros, enthusiasts, and beginners alike because they WORK. Excellent bargain. Just placed an order for 8 more brushes and I plan to buy duplicates soon. Sam, you are a goddess!

I love this collection because it has a bit of everything you need for your everyday makeup routine. It has a pointed foundation brush which its size is perfect because you apply a thin evenly amount of foundation & its pointed to get into those hard to get places. It comes with a a detailer brush, could be used to apply concealer. It also comes with a contour brush to help bring out your facial features & shape your face. My favorite from the core collection is the buffing brush, perfect in size very soft & it helps distribute your makeup evenly. Totally recommendable

I bought this collection early May 2014. I wouldn't say I use this brushes everyday or excessively and I would also clean my brushes once a week. I really liked the them all except for the buffing brush which I would use mainly for blending. Around October I found the bristles of this brush were all falling out and I have no idea why when as I say, I wouldn't use it excessively and take care of my products. It's now got to the point were the bristles are coming out in lumps and the brush for this reason seems a bit fault. However, up until this point I loved the brush and it was great for blending especially when contouring to avoid harsh lines.
